I want to join the circus

I have been taking aerial circus classes since September and I love it. I wish I had the time and money to go more than just once a week. I am nowhere near performance level but I have learned a lot and my strength is building.  I can now climb the silks and pull myself up and down on various apparatuses  with control. I hang upside down and fly.  I have more energy on the nights that I take class and I come home and bounce off the walls for awhile while I explain to D the new things that I learned that night.  I don't think anyone reads this blog, but if you do and you live in Charleston and are interested in taking classes, check it out:  http://www.aerialfit.com/.  They offer aerial yoga classes as well.

Favorite Yarn

Romanesco

Little worlds

I woke up on New Year's Day thinking about terrariums. I am not sure where the thought came from but I new I wanted to build one. At least one. Now I think I want to build many.

Finding the container was the easiest part. I went to goodwill and they had the perfect round goldfish bowl like container sitting on the shelf. At 2.17 it was a steal.

I went to Lowe's and bought the soil, sphagnum moss, and stones later that week.

I read as much as I could on the internet about plant selection and I decided I wanted to recreate a forest landscape, complete with some of my favorite lichens. Yes, I have favorite lichens.

There is a local plant store that I love to support and it has taken a few weeks to get over there when they are open. Finally today I selected three moisture loving plants and I ordered my lichens online.

The plants are in and now I just have to wait for my lichens to arrive. I will post pictures when the project is completed.

But now I have a bug. I want to find more glass containers such as apothecary jars and hanging glass balls. I want to have a variety of little worlds in my little world. So many possibilities....
