I went to aerial yoga on Saturday with Kate. I am in love with it and can't wait to go back. As you can see by the picture, you wrap your body around a piece of hanging fabric. It takes some getting used to. When I first inverted I started swinging but once I steadied myself, closed my eyes, and breathed it felt like nothing else. Truly peaceful. I only wish we had a loft space with a roof that could support me because I would want one in my apartment. For corpse pose you spread the fabric out into a hammock. I lay on my back looking up at the blue fabric streaming up to the ceiling. It is a different sensation than being on the floor because there is no resistance you can melt "deeper than before". Only Court will get that reference. (That is not me in the photograph, I took it from the yoga studio's website.)
